How to stop “Symantec Protection Agent”?
I had SPA installed on my PC which prevents me from viewing other PC's in my workgroup :-(
It won't allow me to disable it, and, when I try to uninstall it, it insists to have a password to do so.
I tried the following method to stop running SPA during startup:
(1) Start "Local Security Settings" from Start -> Run -> secpol.msc

(2) Create an entry in "Software Restriction Policy" if on one exists

(3) in "Additional Rules", right click and "New Path Rule...", then added "C:\Program Files\Symantec\SPA"

Now, if you restart your PC, SPA will not start.
