   Thanks for the advice, but how do I get into my admin to activate the plugin? Every time I try to get to my login page, I get the error message.

   Hey…I downgraded my mom’s wordpress, and got this error when going to the admin (the site appears fine). I uploaded the plugin, but no way to activate it as I can’t get into the admin.

   To get into the admin is not my call. Usually if you installed wordpress by yourself, you should have access to admin :-)

   This seems to be a major problem with some blogs when uploading to the latest wordpress version. It is especially worrying when you can not login to the admin section of your blog.    Thanks this worked great.

   Tried deleting my plugins as wp-member.com suggested but it didn’t work.

   brilliant. thanks it worked. just remove the .htaccess that is giving you the trouble so you can access your wpadmin than install and activate plugin then ftp htaccess again and the 301 should work like a charm, and it did :) much obliged. I’ll send some link love.

    I’m a first time user of wordpress and can not believe how poorly everything is written. Hours of endless searching before I found your post to get the pages to display. I couldn’t even find this plugin in the wordpress plugins.

    Thank you for the fix/plugin.

    Now I have figure out how to properly correct the login page which it just keep returning to, even when the credentials are correct. I’m using a hack to get into the admin section.

    All of this makes me wonder about the quality and skill level of the php developers.

    I also installed MovableType and after updating the required perl modules it works like a charm.

    Even though I did find this link in the forums (after a ridiculous number of hours of searching) I don’t understand why it hasn’t made it to the WordPress trouble shooting section.

    Despite my preference for PHP how can a recommend a product that is so flawed.
    Reading the forums demonstrates the lack of skill and attention put into solving problems. Threads shown as resolved when they are not and yet they keep appearing release after release where some are over a year old.

    Again thank you for the plugin. I’ll see where the next step takes me!

    Thank you so much for all of your help. I had to use this plugin on one of my sites and have saved it (just in case). I will give you props on my blog, http://www.RottenElf.com The plugin works perfectly. I have been searching for a solution to this problem for a total of 6 hours between last night and tonight. I am still puzzled as to how this redirect issue started occuring out of the blue, however, I’m excited that someone has a fix. Though, I’ll admit, that I kind of figured that a fix existed, and I just needed to find the solution.
